When getting into digital photography we often read about the different sensor sizes and types and the number of megapixels that different cameras have. Making a desktop evaluation of the technical attributes of cameras and camera types, is possible of course, but it isn’t until you actually use the cameras themselves that their different qualities can be reviewed by you with confidence.

That’s where the Camera Experience comes in. I have put together a small collection of digital cameras that I offer to clients to use and evaluate with me in different settings (you choose the location from those on offer). You can opt to use just one or all of them to make a comparison with, both in terms of quality of output and user experience.

SONY RX100V  1.0 inch (23.6 mm x 15.6 mm) 

Sensor & 20 megapixels

1.0-Inch Exmor RS Sensor: The RX100 V features a large 1.0-inch sensor (23.6 mm x 15.6 mm), allowing for better light sensitivity and improved image quality, particularly in low-light conditions.​

​Built-In ND Filter: The camera includes a built-in neutral density filter, which helps control exposure and allows for shooting at wider apertures in bright light.

FUJIFILM X100F  (23.6mm x 15.6mm)

Sensor & 24 megapixels

23mm f/2 Lens: The X100F features a fixed 23mm f/2 lens, which offers a classic 35mm equivalent focal length, ideal for street photography and portraits.

ISO Range: The camera offers a wide ISO range of 200 to 12,800 (expandable to 100-51,200), enabling excellent performance in various lighting conditions.
